Tor

Yesterday I drove down to Glastonbury Tor with some friends, it’s a place the apostle Paul was supposed to have buried the Holy Grail, and I had a look for it but no joy. The walk was steep, but the views, spectacular. From the Tor which is about 541 feet high (181 metres) you can see all around you for about 20 miles depending on hills etc, it was windy at the top! So it was a good day with plenty of exercise to make up for the Easter egg I was given.

One thing I did find funny on the tor was the graffiti, at the top of the tor are the remains of a church, and over the many hundreds of years various peoples had marked their ascent.

One that was carved into the rock with some skill said J Somers 1840. Another said S SMITH 1947 this again was done with some skill and even had seraphs (the flicks on the top and bottom of an S)

The last one scratched on to the rock was MUCKA B LUVS U ALL.

Times do change.

If you search long enough I'm sure you'd eventually find one from an "A. Pendragon" saying, "Bloody Mordred. That kid will be the death of me."
